Vintage shots of the team - true roots of skating!
Tunnel Skateboards was founded in 1975 by surfer Mitch Haake.
Named after the favorite California skate spots -concrete tunnels-
skateboarders soon learned that Tunnel meant quality, speed and
style. Mitch also created the Tunnel Rock, the fastest, hardest
wheel of the 70s. Old School Dogtown skaters discovered the Tunnel
Rock after they were brought into the group by Team Tunnel
members. Before long, Stacy Peralta, Shogo Kubo, Jim Muir, Tony
Alva, Marty Grimes and Jay Adams were ripping pools on their
Tunnel Rocks. Tunnel, to this day, still continues to export
quality decks, wheels and other style.
